Acre Baja Wedding
Hannah and Gavin celebrated their wedding at Acre Baja – a real desert-oasis located in a dry riverbed just a stone throw from San Jose del Cabo.
We can’t thank these two enough for putting their trust in us and bringing us all the way to Mexico to capture their incredibly beautiful Acre Baja Wedding.
Baja California is just one of a kind and the perfect spot to gather all your loved ones for a few days of celebration.
Also Cabo is the ideal starting point for a road trip up north. They say it’s the place where the desert meets the ocean and it has so much more to offer.. Endless beaches, impressive mountain-ranges, crystal-clear waters, amazing food, great surf spots, cacti deserts, palm-groove oases and the richest marine life in the world..
We could just sit at the shore and watch the humpback whales jumping like crazy right in front of us.
(If you’re into whales – make sure you travel to Cabo between January – March.. best time for whale-watching is February!!)
Few days before the wedding Hannah and Gavin invited us to hang at their get together party.
That’s when we met them in person for the first time. We were immediately blown away by their warm welcome and by Hannah’s smile and lovely being.

The wedding day started with a relaxed “getting ready“ in the family house at the beach. All the bridesmaids and groomsmen were around and you could tell how everyone got super excited! They couldn’t wait to get the party started.
Everything was set beautifully, surrounded by palm-trees and free-roaming peacocks, at the Acre Baja. By far one of the most amazing venues we’ve ever been to! Hannah and Gavin decided not to have a “first look“ before the ceremony, so the actual first look was when Hannah walked down the aisle.
It was a moment of magic!
The ceremony was super emotional as well and since it was held in the late afternoon the lighting was already perfect.
Right after the ceremony the mariachi-band entered with a big bang and accompanied the guests to the cocktail area. These guys brought all the Mexico feels! The cocktail hour took place at the pool area which was insanely picturesque, equipped with cactuses and the coolest tiles ever. Also the mariachi-band was playing the entire time and we just loved their music and look!
What a reception setting in the Mango grove.. Big shoutout to the amazing team of vendors who did an awesome job! It was a pleasure working with all of them.
After the cocktail-hour people slowly moved to the reception area but it always takes some time till people are seated and served with wine.. So that’s the perfect time for us to escape for some portrait pictures!
Well, Acre Baja obviously has plenty of options for pictures but we wanted to capture the desert-vibe outside the oasis as well. So we went to the dry riverbed that we’ve scouted the day before the wedding and it was absolutely worth it!
When we returned to Acre, the peacock welcomed us – sitting in the most picturesque spot possible!
The groom Gavin was in charge for the musicians/bands and he killed it! Thunderstorm Artis truly is the most talented musician we ever met and his voice touched absolutely everyone.. This guy has a real gift and his version of the song “running with the wolves“ still blows our mind!
These guys danced their feet off at the dance floor.. What a memorable atmosphere.
A sparkler-exit at the very end of the party really is something special! So in love with this moment!
Hannah and Gavin – thank you sooo much for having us at your Acre Baja Wedding!
