Hey Lovers.. lean back and get ready for Jessie and Chris amazing New Zealand Wedding! After a while without blogging it’s time to finally show you some new stuff over here.. Well, our wedding season kicked off with a Big Bang!! In February, a dream came true and we were able to travel to New Zealand for the first time. And even if we like shooting winter weddings every now and then.. it was way better to escape the European winter and extend our endless summer at the other side of the globe! We decided to stay for three weeks and rented a camper van (that already had more than 500k kilometers) to travel all around New Zealand.. We were climbing mountains, riding through scenic riverbeds, diving the coldest glacier lake, digging holes on hot water beaches and burned our feet.. we were Sailing, saw dolphins, were blown away by the beauty of the night sky.. we made many more unforgettable memories and met the most warmhearted people during this trip! Long story short.. This was one of the adventures of our lives and we’re forever grateful to Jessie and Chris for bringing us to New Zealand! And then there was the big day! So to say, the highlight of the trip before we were heading back home with butterflies and tons of memories.. When we met these two the day before the wedding their whole family welcomed us so warmly! During our entire NZ trip, we were impressed by how friendly, relaxed and warmhearted all the Kiwis were. These guys were in the final touches of setting up the ceremony backdrop and showed us around the different areas of their venue. The venue actually is a private property of the family and was just the perfect place for the wedding!
The ceremony was set up in the backyard of the house which looked like a beautiful jungle setup with palm trees and everything.. It was a really hot day and so it was just amazing to have the ceremony in this shaded area!
After the ceremony we went up to the house – the only house in New Zealand with a typical Mediterranean flair! At the reception area a guitarist welcomed us all with “Big Jet Plane“ one of our fav. songs actually! Everything was perfect!
And then the food! OMG so yummy! They set up an amazing dinner setting but who needs plates and all this stuff? They’ve had a pizza truck were everyone could just grab a fresh pizza! These guys were not the kind of people to sit around a table for hours – they were party animals 🙂 This is exactly how a wedding should be celebrated!
At sunset we escaped from the wedding party together with our amazingly beautiful newlyweds to get some stunning couple pics in the best light of the day! Also it’s such a great chance for the couple to have some quiet and intimate moments before jumping back to the dance floor! As these twos New Zealand Wedding took place in the area around Auckland it wasn’t that easy to find a place with a typical NZ view. But yeah! – we’ve found an amazing place with some beautiful rolling hills and an amazing view over the endless fields!
And then the gelato station, that fitted perfectly in the Mediterranean Patio of the house! That’s were the outdoor dance floor was located and beautifully decorated with some nice lightstrings!
We loved it so much to meet y’all and to become a part of this unforgettable day! Thanks again for bringing us to the other side – what a great adventure! It’s been such a blast! Thank you so much!
P.S. We’re sure this was not our last time in New Zealand and we can’t wait to come back for new adventures!
