The Day After – A Pool party at La Fortaleza
The day after the wedding looked nothing like a wind-down — it turned into a full-on pool party.
Set against the stone walls of La Fortaleza, the atmosphere shifted from a wedding celebration to 70s vibes by the pool . Pink and white striped umbrellas, strong sun, cold drinks, and guests showing up seriously well dressed. Relaxed, yes – but with intention.

Style, Music & No Schedule
What makes day-after events so good is the lack of structure. People arrive when they want, jump in the pool, grab a drink, dance, disappear into conversations, then reappear again.
Here, the styling did a lot of the talking. Statement sunglasses, bold colors, linen, silk, wet hair, bare feet. Everything felt effortless but considered — exactly the kind of setting that photographs beautifully without trying too hard.
When the Sun Went Down
As the sun started to set, the energy shifted again. A live band played by the pool, turning the afternoon into an early evening party. Light changed, music got louder, and suddenly everyone was dancing — towels around shoulders, drinks in hand, the fortress glowing in the background.
Why We Love Day-After Parties
Day-after events keep things light, social, and fun – and they’re perfect for capturing a different side of the celebration. Less formal, more playful, and often just as memorable as the wedding itself.
We usually stay for a few hours, documenting the atmosphere as it unfolds – the style, the movement, the final moments before everyone heads home.
