Tulum Beach Wedding
Meghan and Desmond couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else but Tulum. The beach is one thing that makes them happy and what they specifically love about Tulum is that you get a taste of both – a tropical jungle side, and a blissful beach side. This is exactly why we love working as a Tulum Wedding Photographer.
While everything was getting set up at the beach, Meghan and Desmond got ready at a beautiful villa in Tulum town.
While everything was getting set up at the beach, Meghan and Desmond got ready at a beautiful villa in Tulum town.
The photogenic, simplistic designed villa with its gorgeous staircase offered the ideal spot for a first look to remember. One of our favorite shots is when Meghan was walking down the stairs whilst Dez was waiting below.
After these two saw each other for the first time we headed to Casa Malca. The legendary “Pablo Escobar Mansion“ offered some lovely corners for a quick photo session before the ceremony.
We especially loved the idea of a modern “guestbook“ – a retro rotary phone to leave voice messages for the couple. Once your wedding is over you return the phone and all the voice messages will be pressed on vinyl so you can drop that record over and over again!
Despite having seen each other already, Meghans ceremony entrance with her parents escorting her down the aisle was super emotional for the couple.
The party kicked off at Akiin Beach Club where they had set up a huge area for their guests to enjoy.
The reception decor mirrored all of the decor around the wedding venue. They had tropical greenery with touches of fruit such as Coconut, Banana and Piñas on the dinner tables. The dinner was held under a traditional Mexican palapa with string lights outlining the shape of the roof, creating a beautiful ambiance.
After dinner the party kept rollin’ on the dance floor which was located outside at the beach under the Caribbean night sky.
Meghan’s friends from “Influencing in color“ surprised them with a money gun on the dance floor. They literally made it rain $ bills to Fat Joe’s “Make it Rain“. This was definitely a highlight of the night.
The party got super lit as these guys danced their feet off all night.
Can’t thank these two enough for having us capturing memories to last a lifetime and beyond.
Cheers,
Chris and Ruth
